These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of this platform and the Insurance activity between you and us.

By accessing or using Shory.com or any of its components, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, you should not use this platform and/or continue this Insurance activity.
1.3
We suggest that you print a copy of these Terms and Conditions and keep them in a safe place for future reference.
1.4
You must only use this platform for your personal use only and not for business or commercial purposes.
2. United Arab Emirates Jurisdiction & Governing Law
2.1
The United Arab Emirates is our country of domicile.
2.2
Any purchase, dispute, or claim arising out of or in connection with this website shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the UAE.
3. Definitions
3.1
“you” and “your” means the person who proposes to use or is using this platform, the person who applies to acquire insurance coverage through this platform, and if that person decides to purchase insurance through our platform, will become a policyholder, insured, and a customer/client of ours.
3.2
“we,” “us,” and “our” means Shory Insurance Brokers LLC, which is authorized and regulated by the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates for insurance broking activity, under license [287] and trade license [CN-4315710].
3.3
“platform” means either the website located at www.shory.com or any mobile application that we provide using the internet.
3.4
“insurer” means the provider of an insurance product made available via this platform, a collective number of selected insurers incorporated and licensed to practice insurance activities in the United Arab Emirates.
3.5
“API(s)” means any application programming interfaces, endpoints, or machine interfaces exposed or used by the platform.
3.6
“Credentials” means keys, tokens, cookies, headers, session IDs, passwords, or similar artifacts associated with access to the platform.
3.7
“insurer” means the provider of an insurance product made available via this platform, a collective number of selected insurers incorporated and licensed to practice insurance activities in the United Arab Emirates.
3.8
“Content” means data, text, images, outputs, or materials available via the platform.
4. Accepted Payment Methods & Currency
4.1
We accept payments via Visa, MasterCard & Union Pay credit/debit cards in AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham).
4.2
Cardholders must retain copies of transaction records and adhere to merchant policies and rules.
4.3
The payment of premium does not warrant the customer (client) issuance of the underlying insurance policy.
5. User Eligibility
5.1
Minors under 18 years old are not allowed to register as users or transact on the website.
5.2
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their accounts.
6. Sanctions Compliance
6.1
Trading or services will not be provided to individuals and entities from OFAC-sanctioned countries.
7. Ownership & Operation
7.1
The website is owned, maintained, and operated by the company name mentioned in the registered trade license.
8. Use of this Platform
8.1
By using this platform, you agree that:
8.1.1
You will not do anything that affects the integrity or security of this platform or causes or may cause harm, damage, or unreasonable inconvenience to other users of this platform.
8.1.2
You will not gather, extract, download, reproduce, or display any material from this platform without our written permission.
8.1.3
Prohibited Automated Access. You must not access, query, collect, copy, monitor, or obtain data or Content from the platform by using any robot, spider, scraper, crawler, API client, automated device, program, or script, except as expressly authorized in writing by Shory.
8.1.4
No Reverse‑Proxying or Relay. You must not call, wrap, mirror, cache, or relay any page, endpoint, or response of the platform or its APIs to any third‑party website, service, application, or workflow, including using the platform as a proxy to obtain data for others.
8.1.5
No Circumvention. You must not bypass or attempt to bypass any rate limit, access control, authentication requirement, session control, request‑signing, IP/ASN block, TLS pinning, challenge/response, or any other technical or organizational protection implemented by Shory.
8.1.6
No Resale or Competitive Use. You must not use the platform or any output to provide services to third parties; to build or enrich any dataset, product, or model; or to compete with Shory. You must not resell, sublicense, redistribute, publish, or make the platform’s responses available to any third party.
8.1.7
Load & Abuse. You must not engage in activity that imposes or intends to impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the platform, interferes with normal operations, or degrades service quality.
8.1.8
Assent Notice. By using Shory.com or any of its components, you acknowledge and agree that Shory may deploy protective measures (including rate‑limits and session controls) to enforce this Section.
9. Privacy & Data Protection
9.1
We treat all information about you as private and confidential and will always work to ensure that your personal data is processed in compliance with relevant privacy laws.
10. Claims
10.1
You must notify us or your insurer as soon as possible of any loss, claim, or circumstance which falls within the notification provisions of your insurance policy.
11. Limit of Liability
11.1
Our liability to you for the services we provide shall be limited to the extent of the UAE courts and regulatory requirements.
11.2
The limitations in this Section do not apply to breaches of Sections 8, 18A–18B, and 22A–22C to the extent not permitted by law.

12.2
Acknowledgment. We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within two (2) business days using the same channel you used or your preferred contact information.
12.3
Investigation & Timeline. We will investigate and provide a substantive response within fifteen (15) business days from acknowledgment. If we need more time due to complexity, we will notify you with reasons and an updated timeframe.
12.4
Information We May Request. To assess your complaint, we may request reasonable supporting information (e.g., policy number, dates, screenshots, call references). Please provide such information promptly to avoid delays.
12.5
Escalation Path. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome or handling, you may request escalation to our Complaints Lead/Compliance Officer for an independent review.
12.6
Outcome & Remedies. We will communicate the outcome in writing, including reasons and (where applicable) proposed remedies, corrective actions, or next steps.
12.7
Alternative Channels. If we cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, we will inform you of any further channels available to you under applicable laws or regulations.
12.8
No Retaliation. We will not restrict, suspend, or degrade your access or services solely for filing a good-faith complaint.
12.9
Record-Keeping. We maintain complaint records (including dates, correspondence, and outcomes) for quality assurance and legal compliance.
13. Force Majeure
13.1
Neither Party shall be liable for any delay or non-performance of its obligations under this Agreement caused by an event beyond its control (a “Force Majeure Event”).
14. Political Exposed Person (PEP)
14.1

15. Insurance Policies
15.1
You should always read the insurer’s terms and conditions in full, which will cover any transaction or agreement between you and the insurer.
16. Third-Party Websites
16.1
Any links or pointers to any website outside of our official website are designated as “third-party sites.”
17. Platform Security
17.1
You must not share your password, PIN, or OTP with any third party.
17A. Security & Anti-Circumvention
You must not (i) access any non-public area of the platform; (ii) probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network; (iii) attempt to break, decrypt, tamper with, or interfere with any transmission, control, or configuration; or (iv) disrupt or degrade any service (including by overloading, flooding, mail-bombing, or DDoS). Shory may deploy technical measures including IP/domain/ASN blocking, device fingerprinting, TLS pinning, request signing, and challenge/response mechanisms.
17B. Monitoring, Logging & Evidence
To protect users and the platform, Shory may log and analyze interactions (including timestamps, IP addresses, ports, headers, cookies, device/browser attributes, request signatures, referrers, response codes, telemetry, and related metadata) and may preserve such materials as evidence to investigate and enforce these Terms and Conditions.
18. Intellectual Property
18.1
All information, data, and copyright material on this platform belong to us or licensed entities.
19. Payment Terms
19.1
You must pay your insurance premiums by the due date to avoid policy cancellation.
20. Amendment, Renewal, or Cancellation
20.1
If you wish to amend or cancel your policy, refer to our website’s post-sales section.
21. Termination
21.1
We may suspend or terminate your right to use this platform if you breach any of these Terms and Conditions.
21A. Remedies
In the event of actual or suspected breach (including scraping, automated access, proxying/relaying, circumvention of technical measures, or misuse of APIs), Shory may pursue all remedies available at law or in equity, without cap and to the maximum extent permitted by law, including: compensatory, consequential, special, and—where permitted—punitive/exemplary damages; accounting and disgorgement of profits (including revenue or cost savings derived from misuse); restitution and unjust enrichment; pre- and post-judgment interest; temporary, preliminary, and permanent injunctive relief, specific performance, and delivery-up/destruction of materials; orders for expedited discovery, preservation, and inspection (including forensic examination); and full recovery of costs, expenses, and reasonable attorneys’ and experts’ fees incurred in investigation, mitigation, and enforcement. Remedies are cumulative and non-exclusive.
21B. Liquidated Damages
At Shory’s sole election and in lieu of proving actual damages, Shory may apply liquidated damages as specified by Shory from time to time (including a per-request amount, a per-day amount for continued violation, and/or a minimum per incident) as set out in a separate policy, schedule, or notice incorporated by reference into these Terms and Conditions. If no applicable schedule is in effect, Shory may elect to pursue actual damages and other relief.
21C. Evidence Preservation & Cooperation
Upon notice of investigation or suspected misuse, you must promptly preserve potentially relevant data (including logs, devices, and media), cease any spoliation, and reasonably cooperate with Shory’s investigation and enforcement efforts.
22. API Access Terms
22.1
Limited License. Any access to Shory application programming interfaces (the “APIs”) is a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license solely to support your personal use of the platform to complete your own transaction on the platform.
22.2
Credentials & Origins. Credentials, tokens, headers, cookies, and session identifiers are personal to you. You must not share them, embed them in public clients, or use them from unapproved origins, domains, applications, or servers.
22.3
No Third-Party Use. You must not permit any third party to access or use the APIs through your account, device, network, session, infrastructure, or code—whether by client-side scripts, server-side calls, iframes, reverse proxies, or any relay.
22.4
Rate Limits & Monitoring. Shory may monitor API usage (including IPs, ASNs, user agents, referrers, device/browser attributes, request signatures, and patterns) and may set or modify usage caps, throttle, challenge, suspend, or revoke access at any time.
22.5
Data Handling. You must not store, cache, or aggregate API responses except as strictly necessary to complete your in-session transaction on the platform. You must not create derivative datasets, train models, or use responses outside the platform workflow.
23. Changes to These Terms
23.1
We may modify these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on Shory.com (or on the date indicated). Your continued use of Shory.com or any of its components after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
24. Severability
24.1
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
25. No Waiver
25.1
No failure or delay by Shory in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that or any other right or remedy. A waiver must be in writing and signed by Shory to be effective.
26. Assignment
26.1
You may not assign, transfer, or delegate any of your rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer our rights or obligations, in whole or in part, without restriction.
27. Survival
27.1
Sections that by their nature should survive termination or expiration shall survive, including without limitation Sections 8, 11, 12, 17A–17B, 18, 21A–21C, 22, and 23–28.
28. Interpretation & Headings; Language
28.1
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
28.2
References to “including” mean “including without limitation.”
28.3
In the event of any inconsistency between different language versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail to the maximum extent permitted by law.
