Shory (“Shory”), a leading AI-driven insurtech firm in the region, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mraijeb, a UAE company specialising in advanced security and risk solutions.

The MoU was formalised during the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) 2026 event, a national platform that brings together UAE-based companies to foster collaboration, strengthen local capabilities, and accelerate the development of future-focused industries.

Under the MoU, both parties will explore opportunities to combine digital insurance with Mraijeb’s security and operational expertise. The collaboration will focus on strengthening risk assessment capabilities and supporting organisations in better understanding and responding to evolving operational and cyber challenges.

By bringing together Mraijeb’s security expertise with Shory’s insurance and advisory capabilities, the collaboration aims to deliver a more proactive and integrated approach to protection and business continuity.

For Shory, the agreement reflects a continued focus on expanding the role of insurance beyond traditional coverage by embedding it more closely into real-world operational and risk environments.

“This MoU reflects how insurance is evolving into a more connected and proactive model of protection,” said Aoun AlSmadi, CEO, Shory (UAE). “Through our collaboration with Mraijeb, we are exploring how insurance can play a more active role in risk assessment and support organisations in navigating increasingly complex environments. Partnerships of this nature also reflect the strength of UAE-grown innovation, supported by platforms like MIITE.”

Ahmed Almheiri Chief Executive Officer of Mraijeb, said: “We are pleased to sign this MoU with Shory to explore more integrated approaches across security and insurance. By combining our expertise, we aim to help organisations strengthen how they assess and respond to risk, while enhancing overall operational readiness.”

The MoU reflects a shared intention to explore collaborative models that support operational continuity and long-term sustainable growth across the UAE.
