Step 1: Register for the program

Step 2: Get your eye test done

Optional: you can book paid practical training sessions before the road test, at around AED 120 + VAT per hour. These aren't compulsory. If you're a confident driver who just needs to get familiar with Dubai roads and right-hand traffic, one or two sessions might be worth it. If you're very comfortable already, you can skip them entirely.
If you fail the road test, you'll need to take regular driving lessons. The number of sessions depends on your experience level, as assessed by the school.
Step 5: Collect your license
Pass the road test and you'll receive a UAE driving license for light motor vehicles. It's valid for two years initially. After the first renewal, it extends to five years at a time.
